the canvas measures 24 x 36 and is titled "stellar composition 2". I'm not sure if the medium is acrylic or oil. it is signed by the artist in the lower left hand corner. the date is unknown.
i bought it a couple of years ago from a seller on ebay, but prices for this artist's work are all over the map, and i cannot find any other examples of his work in the genre

Thank you for your request. The presented object is a painting made in oil or acrylic paint on canvas with the measurements of 24 x 36 inches. It depicts an abstract so-called action drip painting. The technique of drip paintings was established in the first half of the 20th century by artist like Francis Picabia, André Masson, and Max Ernst and in the middle of the 20th-century especially by Jackson Pollock. This painting is titled "Stellar Composition 2". The painting is signed by the artist EJ Gold. Eugene Jeffrey Gold was born in New York City in the year 1941. He is mainly sold over the platform of eBay and Guernsey’s. Sadly the paintings with pictorial representation are more established then this abstract motif.
This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible.
