Earth Day/ Four Seasons by Peter Max
24 x 36" complimentary hand signed Peter Max poster with apology letter. Poster stock paper, with letter in original frame. You will see a stain just above the signature, this was an insect under the glass that has been since removed and cleaned. Condition issues; light fading, 1/8" x 1 inch abrasion from glass on original framing, light, had print disassembled and professionally cleaned of all debris.
Owned by a collector from Morro Bay CA. She is elderly, "out of wall space" and is the 1st owner.

This is a vintage, late 20th century poster from 1990 that was produced through Peter Max to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Earth Day from April 22, 1970 - 1990. It features a space view image of the planet earth with ombre colors in the background; the bottom has a band of images that are The Four Seasons by Peter Max. The poster is signed by hand by Max and it came with a typed and hand signed letter from Max explaining the signed poster is being sent to them because a particular print that was ordered by the receiver was not ready in time from the publisher. Peter Max produces an Earth Day poster yearly, most are done with an art image that is entirely by the artist however this poster diverges from his usual style and features a photo image of planet Earth. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
