What does this mean?

This is an antique 19th century, Victorian era wall mount clock in press molded oak case and a glass front with "Eclipse Regulator" in gold on it that was produced by Sessions. The original paper label affixed to the backside has been mostly removed. Regulator clocks are also referred to as pendulum clocks and were first introduced around 1760 - 1780. An eclipse regulator is also a calendar clock. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
