Edward John Bartram (1938- 2019), printmaker, photographer, and painter, has a special vision of Georgian Bay that has captivated his imagination for over half a century. Since the early 1970s, he has transformed this vision into a series of graphic images that reflect the land and particularly the rock face of this region of Canada's Precambrian Shield.
The estimate provided is based on comparables offered and sold at auction in the last five years. The subject work’s size, the composition, condition (based on photographs provided), as well as the artists’ current auction market were taken into consideration when determining the estimate.
