The English presence in Egypt over many generations led to not only an appreciation for English style furniture but also a robust export market that catered to expats living there. This small desk features inlay and shaping characteristic of British furniture made in the early and mid 19th Century, during the country's Regency period.
It appears there are no readily available public records or directories mentioning “Waḥīd Mursī Farīd" specifically so I can't comment with certainty about the years they were in business but the material of the yellow label - (a modern synthetic) suggests mid to late 20th Century.
Regency-style inlaid furniture of this age and form have somewhat fallen out of popularity recently and when they once might have sold for several to a few thousand dollars, in the current market, they rarely exceed $500 at auction.

Of rectangular section with rounded corners, the frame with shaped sides and fitted with a single long drawer and a shelf. Labeled to one side below the top. With a custom glass top.
Height: 30-1/2 inches; width: 28-1/2 inches; depth: 24 inches
CONDITION: This appears to be in good condition.
