The appraised work appears to be an oil on canvas painting possibly executed by Spanish artist Eliseo Meifrén y Roig (1859-1940). The painting depicts a landscape scene with dwellings located on the right side, a large body of water to the left and a mountainous form in the background with small sailboats. The artist was a prominent Spanish landscape painter and sailor, and he is considered one of the first proponents of the Impressionist movement in Catalonia. He began his training at the School of Fine Arts in Barcelona, where he was a student of Antonio Caba and Ramón Martí Alsina, together with whom he began to create academic romantic landscapes.
