What does this mean?

Thank you for contacting us again with this other appraisal inquiry.

This is small painting with red house signed on the lower right by Elizabeth Street who was part of the Woodstock workshop set by President Roosevelt in the 1930's. Works produced by these artists where then sold through department stores and other venues such as New York City's Fifth Avenue Gallery (see label on the reverse of your painting) at prices ranging from $1 to around $10.

The composition and condition (based on photographs and comments provided), as well as the artists’ current auction market were taken into consideration when determining the estimate.

Best wishes,

Karine
