Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a beautiful suede jacket. Such vintage designer clothes are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
I think it is a very nice leather/suede jacket from Armani. It appears to be in faily good condition with only minor signs of wear and use. The value of vintage clothes is determined by the company that made them and how many they made of each design. Normally a jacket like this would have been produced in several thousands samples. Still the name and the quality of the material and the design makes it more interesting for potential buyers (collectors and dealers).
The price you paid for the jacket seems to be quite fair - perhaps you would even be able to sell it for slightly more if you were to put it up for sale. However it is not a unique haute-couture item which is reflected in the appraisal.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online vintage designer clothes auction, where I believe the jacket has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the Armani jacket. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
Thank you
