Gooday Please could you assist me with an appraisal for my very rare original Bruce Brown Endless Summer movie poster. The poster is signed by John Whitmore who was featured in the movie and presented the movie when it arrived in Cape Town South Africa. The late John Whitmore is considered to be the founder of surfing in Cape Town South Africa. He was a avid member and also founder of our Western Province Longboard Surfing Club which my family and I had been members of since the 90s. I was in the top tier of the Junior/Open division throughout my years in the club and John would often be seen handing out the trophies at prize giving which I frequently would be a recipient. The poster was gifted to me on my 21st birthday by the Ghilam Family. Mike, Arlene, Jason, Miles were close family friends of ours within the club and Mike was very close friends with John Whitmore and had asked him to sign 2 of the movie posters that were extras from the movie debut in Cape Town. The poster has been in my possession for 25 years this year and I shipped it to Australia with me 8 years ago. I don't know enough about conditions and ageing of posters etc but I can tell you it is mounted between 2 pieces of glass with the edges of the glass sealed with clear tape to prevent and moisture from getting in. It is also kept out of sunlight. If there's is any further information you would like to know please contact me. I am potentially looking to sell at this time of its 50th year since release as well as for a insurance valuation. I am reaching out to several evaluators as well as requested by my insurer. Many thanks, Rory Valentine
