These are hand colored 20th century reprints of etchings of birds that were originally produced by the English Ornithologist and Naturalist George Edwards (1694-1773) in 1748 for his 1750 book The Natural History of Birds. The original 18th century prints were done on laid paper, which has lines ingrained in the pulp. These are done on woven paper. The matting for the framing of these is French matting, which is hand painted lines which was popular in the 1930s. The estimate is for the pair together based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
The picture itself is 12 inch. in length and 8 inch in width and i have added more picture. I hope it helps
