Provenance

My great uncle, Carl Bretz, was a well known interior decorator in West Palm Beach from the 20's through the 60's, and was great friends with Mrs. Hurst while she was publisher of Harper's Bazaar. The story in the family was that they were a gift from Mrs. Hurst to Carl. He also had written some articles on design for Harper's Bazaar during that time period. My father had inherited them upon his Uncle's death. I don't know if I have a copy of my uncle and father's will, but I do have a copy of my Mom's will that lists them in my inheritance.
