What does this mean?

The item presented appears to be an engraving after a work by Jean Leon Gerome Ferris (Pennsylvania, 1863 - 1930) titled "Christmas Eve in Colonial Days." The print was engraved by James King (New York, 1852 - 1925) and is dated to the late 1800s. Ferris is a listed English genre painter who studied under William Adolphe Bouguereau at the Julian Academy in Paris. King studies at New York's Art Student's League and was a known engraver and etcher.
