Hi Melody,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Face jugs are an important aspect of pottery production in the South, where many were made by (enslaved) Black potters in the late 19th Century and later free potters in the 20th Century; it's a tradition that is still ongoing and currently the subject of considerable research by some of the top ceramics scholars in the US.
I'm not finding a match to this one, and the "LK" mark isn't drawing any blanks either but given the size and execution of this small vessel, it would likely sell for between $75 and $125 if sold in a sale of 20th Century Southern pottery.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage Southern pottery face vessel
inscribed LK underneath
With coiled "horns' affixed above its applied eyebrows, glazed eyes and articulated teeth within prominent lips. Marked to the underside.
4 inches high by 5 inches wide by 4 inches deep
CONDITION: This appears to be in good conditoin
PROVENANCE: Acquired at a second=hand store
$ 75-125*
