1972 Fender Telecaster Custom. SN 661252 Humbucking pick up front and traditional telecaster pickup at bridge. Ash body, maple fret board.
I've owned this guitar since the mid to late seventies. This guitar has been played this guitar on many stages including Whiskey-A-Go Go, Crazy Horse Saloon, Henry Fonda theater, Fox in Atlanta, The Troubadour in Hollywood and many more. The Ash body is very dense and heavier than most telecasters. Humbucker pick up at neck allows you to achieve a more gibson tone plus achieving the tele sound with the bridge pick-up. Original Fender Case. This guitar is in excellent condition and a dream, killer tone and notes like butter.
This is a 1972 Fender Telecaster Custom. These guitars sell for between $1200 and $4500 depending on condition. A model in excellent condition would command a higher price. Based on previous auction sales, the Fair Market Value of this instrument is between $3800 and $4500.
Below is more information about this model
*Debuting in January 1973 for $315, with a sunburst finish standard and choice of rosewood fretboard or fretted maple neck, the new Custom lost the binding of old and received a Wide Range humbucker in the neck position, aping a mod that many players had imposed upon Teles for years with Gibson humbuckers.
