It is a shiny material (like thick silk) with marking in the left hand corner. It measures 18.25" x 11.25".
Have been told that this was bought in Asia by missionaries when they were over there. Also has a large fishing village print that I also inherited through the same way that has been submitted separately.
This is a vintage 20th century picture done by machine in silk from Japan featuring a home with boat along a waterway with the famed Mount Fuji looming in the background. These were for export and were also sold to tourists and servicemen as souvenirs to bring home. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
