This painting by Joe Rolo is signed front and back and includes the artist handwritten home address. The frame and matting look is original. I saw a very similar work online that is held at the Whitney. I am not sure if I want to sell it that would depend on the valuation, but I checked yes below so I have that information.

Dear Sarah Chodera,
Thank you for the appraisal submission. Given the subject matter, medium, and artist similarities to your other appraisal, this one will be very similar.
The work is an oil painting on what appears to be a board ground by Jo Rollo (Italian-American, 1904 - 2001). It is a still life composition of flowers in a vase in front of a gray and blush ground. The work is signed to the upper left corner and the verso of the frame. There is also an artist address to the verso of the frame. From the images provided, the work appears to be in fair condition with visible craquelure throughout. It measures 11.5 x 15.5 inches in frame.
Jo Rollo was a Chicago-based artist, primarily working in painting and lithography. He received a significant amount of commissions during the WPA era. A few of Rollo's works are held at the Whitney, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the National Gallery of Art, but little biographical information is known about the artist. Similarly, he has a very minimal secondary market record with a lithograph selling for $10 in 2018, and a drawing selling for $150 about 15 year ago. The lack of sales, the inability to note trends, and the overall lack of artistic presence results in a low Fair Market Value estimate. At this moment, there is little public interest in the artist. We estimate this painting to have a FMV between $0 and $200, likely towards the higher end of this range.
Kind regards,
Charlotte B.
Thank you I will keep and enjoy it for the time being. Sarah
