What you have here is a decorative bronze object made in China mid 20th century. Its a water buffalo and a boy. Young boys help their family on the rice field to work with the buffalo. You see that in the past but still today all over China. The bronze plate is a little odd. I did not see that before. I believe if such a bronze piece came to auction or a salesroom it would fetch a price around the estimate.
