Hi Rachel,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Frederick Cooper is a distinguished name in American lighting design, renowned for blending artistic craftsmanship with functional illumination. Founded in 1923 by Chicago artist Frederick Cooper, the company began as a studio for sculpture and watercolor painting. Cooper's fascination with the then-novel invention of lamps led him to create exquisitely designed lighting fixtures that mirrored the innovative American architecture of his time. By combining materials like brass, fabric, glass, and wood, he crafted lamps that were both functional and artistic .
While designers and lighting dealers can sell their Frederick Cooper lamps for a few thousand dollars, when they are sold at auction, they rarely exceed $700-1,000.
