What does this mean?

Hi Kane,

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.

Claire Maglin-Rochette (1872–1957) was a distinguished French porcelain painter associated with the Manufacture de Sèvres. Born into an artistic family in Paris, she was the daughter of Firmin Myrtil Adonis Maglin, a porcelain painter, and Valérie Constance Navlet. Her grandfather, Joseph Navlet, was also an artist. Claire honed her craft under the guidance of her father and brother, Firmin Maglin, and began exhibiting her work at the Salon starting in 1896. In 1897, she married fellow porcelain painter Léon Édouard Rochette. Throughout her career, Claire Maglin-Rochette specialized in creating exquisite Sèvres-style porcelain pieces. Her works often featured intricate designs and were signed either as 'C. Rochette' or 'Claire Maglin Rochette.'

When similar works decorated by Rochette have sold at auction, they usually bring prices ranging from $700-$1,000.
