Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This is an old photogravure print after George Frederic Watts famous painting from 1886 "Hope".
It shows the allegorical figure of hope forlorn on a globe, blindfolded, listening to the last string on the lyre she is holding. This is an iconic picture which was widely published. Today´s admirer can chose from better reproduction techniques. The estimate is based from similar items offered or sold at auction.
