What does this mean?

Dear Renata,

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal enquiry.

Your painting is a copy of the well-known painting by Thomas Gainsborough, part of the National Gallery collection in London. The signature is unclear, and I am sorry to say that I couldn't identify the copyist, who is probably from the 19th century. The condition is excellent; it comes in an intricate gild frame showing signs of wear and tear.

The estimation highlighted in red above is based on comparables offered and sold at auction in the last five years.

Best wishes,

Karine

Best regards,

Karine
