I believe this is 1970's era. Garnet stones in a 14K setting. Also embossed is what I as an AM with a couple of engravings before the AM that I can't make out, or upside down it could be a W instead of an M. 17 stones total.
Grandmother's ring
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a beautiful gold garnet ring. Such vintage jewellery are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
It is a beautiful gold ring with Garnets, the design is typical of the 1970s where the large rings were in fashion. Garnets are beginning to be fashionable again which means that the prices are beginning to going up. These rings were made with both sterling silver and gold rings, and of course the gold ones are the most sought after and the most expensive.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online jewellery auction, where I believe the ring has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the Garnet cocktail ring. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
