What does this mean?

This is a vintage 20th century, 1940's, pair of matching pendant panel paintings each measuring 42" x 36" featuring an Asian dancing male and female counterpart in traditional costume by American graphic artist, illustrator and mural painter, Norman Tolson (born 1883). These were more likely acquired in America as these may be Asian in subject, however they are American in origin. The estimate is for the pair together and is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
