This was passed down to me from my Grandmother. It has a GJ and 830 stamped on the back with Denmark 54.
All I know is that my Grandmother had it and it was passed down to me.
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a beautiful Georg Jensen silver pendant. Such antique jewellery are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
The pendant was made by Georg Jensen in the early 1900s in Copenhagen. It is hard to see the exact marks on the photos but I believe that it was made between 1917-1927. It is made of silver in the classic Georg Jensen style with many flowery details. This piece was made with a variation of different stones. Labadorite, moonstone etc. I cannot see from the photo if this is labadorite or perhaps a moonstone or another semi-precious stone that Jensen was very fond of.
It is a nice pendant that would attract the attention of both collectors and dealers if it came up for auction.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online silver jewellery auction, where I believe the Georg Jensen pendant has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the lovely pendant. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
