This appears to be a 1930s painting on cardboard, depicting a night scene of a shed in a forest near a river or a lake with a kettle over an open fire, a canoe on the embankment, the moon shining its light over the water surface. The backside of the painting shows an another sunset scene near a lake. Both paintings are well executed by a trained artist who might have been inspired by Catlin. The painting technique, the type of colour pigments and the surface structure are completely different to paintings by George Catlin. This will most likely be a painting by a mexican artist who produced large numbers of paintings with a fast moving painting technique, just for home decor. The estimate is based on similar decorative paintings ( e.g. mexican black velvet paintings are similar in the brush technique) offered or sold at auction. There is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to it.
