19.25 inches, silver tone necklace with Givenchy markings and Givenchy marked small pendant at the clasp, weight is 38.4 grams, has round black resin beads, the chain does stick to a magnet but the oval markings do not stick to the magnet, nor does the clasp. It was purchased at an online auction from Goodwill Industries for $7.00. It was a donated piece with no further information. There was an identical gold plated version of the necklace on etsy.com. Unfortunately, when I clicked on the image a message came up saying this iteam was sold and no longer available and no further details. The image I provided with the purple velvet is what the necklace looks like now after I cleaned it . The other images are before it was cleaned.

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a beautiful necklace. Such vintage designer accessories are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
The necklace has a lovely design and you have done a good job cleaning the necklace. When it comes to the material I believe it is silvercoloured metal and not silver it is made of, as it would have silvermarkings on the clasp or lock. The dark beads may either be some kind of crystal or glass beads which is often seen on designer jewellery.
Unfortunately the price depends on the materials used and in this case the materials are not that expensive which is reflected in the appraisal. From the design I would suggest that it was made in the 1980s-1990s.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online vintage designer bijouterie auction, where I believe the Givenchy necklace has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the necklace. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
