Hummel Goebel Merry Wanderer 7/II 1972 11" tall Excellent Condition
The item was given to me as a gift when I first went into business. It has been on display, behind glass for over 40 years.
Good afternoon, Michael,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. Do you have the original packaging for this figure?
Thanks!
Delia
Thanks, Michael, for letting me know.
We get a LOT of inquiries about Hummel figures; while they were expensive to collect and buy new, they have not retained more than a small fraction of their value and, because there are so many on the market now with limited buyers, they are worth very little at auction. In many instances, individual figures are worth between $5-25 dollars (larger ones can bring a bit more - $10-40) so most auction houses sell multiple figures together. Most do not have their original packaging, which if you had it would add a small amount to your figure.
Based on the photographs and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A large Hummel painted porcelain collectible "Happy Wanderer" figurine
Made by Goebels, West Germany, 1972, with date mark for 1972-1979
impressed underneath 7/11 and "1972"
11 inches tall
PROVENANCE: given as a gift 40+ years ago
CONDITION: client reports this to be in excellent condition
$15-30*
