14k gold bracelet with 7 very large charms. Bracelet is stamped 14k and 2 of the charms are stamped 14k. Charms probably added separately.
My mother-in-law owned this piece and she lived in Cincinnati for a long period of her life but also traveled extensively throughout the world.
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry and thank you for the additional information.
It is a lovely bracelet made of 14 kt gold and weighing 129 gr. Such antique and vintage jewellery are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
The design of the bracelet with the attached charms is very typical of the first part of the 1900s. I believe yours was made around 1900-1910. This was very fashionable. The charms were attacted when you visited foreign places or to mark special occasions. I believe this could be the case with your bracelet too.
The weight is very impressive and the bracelet must be slightly heavy to wear.
I believe that this lovely and very charming bracelet with charms would attract the attention of both collectors and dealers if it came up for auction.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online jewellery auction, where I believe the bracelet has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the bracelet. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
Thank you
The total weight is 4.5oz (129 g.)
