Hi Jerry,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The names on the dial "Elliott" and "Ashford" refer to the notable clockmaking firm of Elliott & Son, which was based in Ashford, Kent, England, during the early 19th century. The business was founded by John Elliott, who was apprenticed to James Roberts, a watchmaker in Ashford, in 1794. By 1802, John Elliott had established his own enterprise, which operated under the name Elliott & Son from 1802 to 1851. The firm was located on High Street in Ashford.
The case of this clock is in the Georgian style rather than in the Regency or Victorian style, suggesting it was made in the late 18th or early 19th Century and the white enamel iron face - with a landscape in the tympanum and spandrels (corners) are characteristic of this time period.
Late 18th/early 19th Century clocks by Elliott, of similar form and in good cosmetic and working condition, have been selling at auction for between $800-1,200.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
