Oak case whittington chimes brass face 1920s or 1930s No brand or maker marks visible at back of movement or anywhere else. Chiming every 15 minutes and stroiking the hour. Case in good condition.

Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a german longcase clock of the 1930s, most likely manufactured in the black forest area.
There should be a small manufacturers sign on the movement, but knowing it would not change the estimate very much. Similar longcase clocks were produced in large numbers and are currently not very much in demand.
The estimate is based on similar grandfather clocks sold or offered at auction.
There is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to it.
