A vintage Herschede musical chiming burl walnut grandfather clock
mid-late 20th Century
The arched bonnet over a tomb-stone topped door enclosing an engraved steel and brass dial with moon-phase dial, Arabic chapter rings. The case with chimes, pendulum and weights, all on a box base with applied panels, on ogee bracket feet. Back impressed "230", "133" and "6123." Plays Westminster, Wittington and Canterbury tunes.
CONDITION: appears to be in good condition commensurate to age and wear.

Thank you! Those are the model numbers for the case an d aren't as helpful with dating this. But the style and condition suggest this was made in the mid-to-late 20th Century. It's a handsome clock but the market for these isn't what it used to be...increasingly people want such formal pieces in their homes so the value runs towards the modest side.
Hello - The only # we can find are the etched numbers on the back (in the wood). Is there somewhere inside the clock where we should be looking? Nothing is standing out.
