The clock has handpainted numbers, 1 - 12 and in a faded colour above each number from 1 - 12, are numbers 5 to 60, (eg 5 is above 1, 10 is above 2 etc) also below the number 30 is painted 1776, possibly the year. I'm not an expert with wood, but best guess is it is mahogany. Height 2.10cm x Width 45cm x Depth 23cm The weight and swinging pendulum still with clock, missing is the turn key.
Sorry, no history, father-inlaw who owned it, passed away in 1968, with all the history and knowledge about it.

Hello,
I have recently purchased this clock and would like if possible to find out a bit more about it,I have read the comment by Wesley, re.no history, which is fine, however some background on the late father-in-law would be of interest to me,nothing personal obviously. I am guessing that he may have emigrated here from Britain and brought the clock with him,
where he came from,etc..I would be delighted to here from the family and I have purchased the clock to restore and add to my clock collection.
Thank you,
regards,
Alastair
