Hi Brian,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
This lamp base aligns with several makers and styles, including Fulper pottery, Raku-ware and Studio Art Pottery more generally. It appears to have been originally thrown and glazed in the first half of the 20th Century, and made into a lamp in the mid 20th Century (circa 1950s-60s).
Most lamps made from pots such as this, of comparable size, vintage and style, typically sell at auction for between $100-150.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage Studio Art Pottery Verdigris Glazed Table Lamp
Unattributed maker, probably American, first half 20th Century
Of circular section, with tall ribbed neck, the bulbous body with swirled ribs, later fitted into a lamp with a cast metal base and surmounted by a cylindrical green paper shade. Presumably unmarked.
22 inches overall height; diameter: 7 inches
CONDITION: This lamp appears to be in good condition with some dust accumulation; client notes this has a fraying cord and shade with paint spots
PROVENANCE: Inherited
$100-150*
