What does this mean?

This is an early 19th century illustrated plate showing the traditional military costume of a Grenadier a Pied, or foot soldier for the Imperial Guard of Napoleon. The original print was published and sold through the shop of François-Séraphin Delpech (1778-1825). (Note, not Delpeck)This print has been hand colored and might have possibly been an illustrated page in a book on military uniforms. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
