This grey pearl necklace and bracelet set was gifted to me back in 1982. It was in the show case holder when gifted but I don't know if this was the original. It was given to me when I was living in Marbella Spain by the mother of an English man I was dating at the time.
I'm not sure if it was bought from new or re-gifted. It was given to me by the Mother of an English boyfriend who was living in Peurto Banus near Marbella in Spain.
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a beautiful pearl set with necklace and bracelet. Similar pearl jewellery is being offered at auction on a regular basis.
Without seeing the marks on the lock it is hard to tell if it is white gold, however these grey pearl sets often do have white gold mountings and eyelets. The pearl set dates from the 20th century and could very well be of English origin.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online jewellery auction, where I believe the pearl set has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the beautiful grey pearl set. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
