A 3/4 1728 Joseph Guanarious violin. Bought for my mother in the 1930's by my grandfather from a used instrument store near Pittsburgh PA. The original label is intact but difficult to get good pictures of. The label claims the maker, year and Christian cross with IHS below. It also says "German Manufacture". Joseph's name is followed by the word "fecit"
From my mother. It was repaired by a gentleman in the 80's who offered us any 2 violins in his store for trade. He was very disappointed we did not trade him. Never new why.
