The artist is Oswaldo Guayasamin. My father had this painting since I was a kid. Him and my mom lived in Colombia before coming to US in 1970. It has been kept rolled up in a rolling tube for many years. I don’t k ow if it’s an original or not. I do know my dad’s family frequented Equador in the 60s and 70s

Hello, this item is a painting attributed to Oswaldo Guayasamín, showing a geometric and abstract composition dominated by deep blues, whites, and earth tones. The style reflects the transitional period in Guayasamín’s work between his figurative “La Edad de la Ira” series and his more abstract architectural explorations, where fractured planes suggest landscapes or urban structures rendered in an emotional, textured palette. The dimensions of approximately 29 ¾ by 14 5/8 inches suggest a vertical format, which is consistent with some of his lithographic and painted studies from the 1960s–70s.
The provenance, with a family connection to Ecuador in the 60s and 70s, aligns with the artist’s active period and could add contextual weight if documentation or signature verification is available.
