This purse was given to me by my mother in law. In beautiful condition, I had the gold handle sent to Gucci and re-dipped.

It is a beautiful Vintage Gucci handbag. Such vintage designer handbags are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
It is a lovely classic Gucci design and still very modern today despite it was probably made in the 1960s. I presume it is made of crocodile. Fortunately crocodile handbags are very sought after and especially if they are in good condition as you describe your bag to be. The golden details on the handbag makes it quite special and it would certainly be a collectors item if it came up for sale.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online vintage designer accessories and handbags auction, where I believe the Gucci handbag has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the lovely crocodile Gucci handbag. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
