Thank you for your request. The apprised object is a landscape painting made in oil paint on canvas with the measurement of 28 x 38 inches. It depicts a view over a lake with a characteristic mountainside in the background. This lake could be in Austria, South-Germany or Switzerland what is indicated by the costumes and the flat fishing boat. Perhaps this could be "Zell am See" in Austria. This painting is signed with the name "Gustl. Zapletal" and dated "1885". Gust is the short version of the name August but sadly there is no additional information about this artist to find in reference books or databases.
This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible.
An estimation would be between 300 to 600 USD.
