My parents acquired it from a dealer in the early 70's.
Dear Joan,
Thank you for your help and patience
The presented object appears to be a double-barrel SxS breechloading shotgun made by W. H. Hamilton in the last third of the 19th century.
This piece is in medium condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 200 to 400 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
Please let me know if you need anything else. Also, my father has stated to sell the first single barrel rifle that was appraised. What do I need to know to sell and ship a rifle or shotgun?
Thank you
