Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a modern embroidery , well designed and exquisitely executed. The style is very much inspired by japanese art of the 1920s. Unfortunately there is no information available about this late 20th century chinese artist. In general embroideries are no very highly regarded on the art market. The estimate is therefore based on similar items by lesser known artists offered or sold at auction. I can imagine, that someone who just likes the motif would be willing to pay more than the high estimate.
