This is a Mashad-style Persian runner, hand-knotted in wool, with traditional geometric medallions and floral borders, typical of northeastern Iran. Though it has some losses to the ends, the colors are strong and this is a fine example hand-knotted in the early 20th Century.
Most runners of this size and age usually sell between $800 and $1,200 at auction; note that rug dealers will likely prices ones they are selling at higher RETAIL prices.

Centering five geometric medallions on a red ground with foliate black border, within a dark-ground border with geometric patterns, cream-colored selvedges.
