This prayer book was taken by my grandfather Don F Wendling (3rd Army Engineer) from the mansion of Franz Von Papen in Germany during WWII. It contains handwritten prayers in German along with pictures. Tucked inside are funeral cards going back to early 18th century. The book has a date of 1781.

The presented object appears to be a prayer book dated 1781 written in German. The book includes handwritten prayers and hand-colored illustrations on the base of etchings. Such prayer books were common for the daily prayers and were probably in the possession of a noble or wealthy person.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
