I have 9 pieces of Harvey Probber Modular chair design. Chairs have the ability to connect in a semi circle. Name tag on piece and date estimated mid to late 70's. All original. Seating height 17-18" . I have reached out to multiple sources who specialize and they unfortunately don't have any information.
I purchased from Auction and they stated they purchased brand new from Harvey Probber direct or thru seller of his works.
Hi Matt,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
I'm afraid I'm not going to be much help identifying the pattern here but the auction records for Harvey Probber sectional seating furniture are a good basis for the value of $1,000-1,500.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage Harvey Probber wool and chrome 9-piece sectional couch
circa 1970s
upholstered in a mustard-yellow/brown wool and chrome feet, the back continuing seamlessly into the seat and legs, when joined can create a semi-circle. Retains original labels.
seat height 17-18 inches
CONDITION: with some use wear
PROVENANCE: acquired at auction
$1,000-1,500 en suite*
*represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.
