Peter Lik Gallery at Caesars
Dear Debra,
The images that Lik took at Antelope Canyon have become classic Lik images. That said, at auction this example has a range of $1300USD to $2000USD.
As always, if you have any follow-up questions I am available for you.
Kind Regards,
Erin-Marie
Perfect!!! Because of their provenance, I took the liberty of assuming the editions would be signed and of limited number release so my estimates have been under the assumption that each piece you have submitted was hand-signed and numbered.
Does that change the values?
It does not, all of my research has been based on the signed and numbered, limited editions by Lik. While there are exceptions, it is common that public auction prices will average less than 50% of current retail prices. Let me know if this leaves you with any questions.
Erin-Marie
Wow those values are much less than what I paid for them. I am dissapointed.
Yes all 3 are signed and numbered by Peter Lik
Dear Debra,
My hope is that you bought these first because you love, love, love them; never forget that, that is more important than what current secondary-market auction trends are. I'll add to that and mention that because Fine Art trends are changing constantly, you should revisit the values of your pieces in three to five years. I'm preparing to board a plane as I type this, but will complete your third evaluation tomorrow once back in my office. In the meantime, if you think of any questions regarding the secondary art market let me know and I'll answer you as best as I am able.
Sincerely,
Erin-Marie
I have the number for Hidden Temple, it is 59/950, for TranquilBlue it is 705/950, and g or Lost Forrest it is 169/950
