This appears to be a german second half 18th century saber , with silver half-basket hilt, fluted pommel, horn grip, the blade etched with a depiction of a hare in flight. Scabbard in poor condition. Thank you for additional photos of the british hallmarks. According to the silver hallmarks the hilt was made in London, date letter "g", possibly for the year 1742, maker is ST, possibly Samuel Taylor who is known to have worked in the second half of the 18th century. During the reign of the german / british kings it would have been no surprise that german craftsmen worked in London or influenced the craftsmen in Great Britain. Similar sabers appear at auction once in while. The estimate is based on these few results. Any provenance would increase the value.
