This is a vintage 20th century, dated 1973, signed and numbered limited edition of 85 original Japanese woodblock print by one of the leading recent woodblock artists from Japan, Tadashi Nakayama (1927 - 2014). His metallic and multi-colored images, are a melding of traditional ukiyo-e and western world paintings. Horses are featured in a majority of his works. This 65/85 numbered print is diminutive in sized being 9" x 11" yet it also shows the mastery of his skill to include so much in that small amount of area.
