Hummel figurine Favorite Pet. One of several that my grandmother collected. From the online Hummel trademark guide, the mark looks to me like it might be the 3 line trademark. A 361, a 1960, and a 27 are stamped on the bottom. No chips. The Favorite Pet sticker is attached to the base. She is 4.5 iinches high.
My grandmother collected a few Hummels in the 1950s and 60s.
Hi Eden,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal query.
Hummel figures were incredibly popular among collectors in the 1950s-1990s and there are a lot of them on the market, unfortunately with less demand than supply so it is quite rare for individual pieces to be worth more than $5-50 each, at auction. The value can occasionally be boosted if the piece retains its original factory packaging.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage Hummel hand-painted porcelain "Favorite Pet" collectible figurine
made by Wm Goebel, West Germany circa 1960, bearing the underglaze mark in use from 1972-1979
model 361, impressed 1960, the lower rim bearing original factory label
4 1/2 inches
CONDITION: appears to be in good condition
PROVENANCE: inherited
$30-50*
