Hi Anita,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry and for the additional photos. This is the work of Steven Louis Ball (California, 20th/21ast Century), a wildlife and nature-artist whose work focuses on birds, fish and natural landscapes. His style is not purely documentary: his aim is to evoke mood and story, not just depict. He studied at the ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena (formal training in Design & Illustration) and before that at Pacific Union College in Napa.
Since around 1973, he has lived in Springville, California (his home & studio) and has been painting landscapes, wildlife (birds, fish) and producing art in mediums including oil, acrylic, watercolor and print/etchings.
This is a print and - based on the retail and auction sales of works of similar size and composition, this is worth between $25 and $35.
