This piece was in my grandmothers office in Dallas Tx. I have seen copies/prints of this subject via eBay and a few other areas. I would just like to know if it is indeed an original. It's in good condition, however there are a few soiled or smudged corners
8"x10"
Dear Jessica Kuykendall,
Thank you for your appraisal submission. From the images provided the work appears to be a print not a drawing. It is possible a lithograph, but would require physical examination to confirm. It measures 8 x 10 inches and is in fair condition. There appears to be significant toning and foxing to the sheet with soiling to the edges. It is signed in plate to the lower right. The work is a reproduction of Raoul Dufy's "Le 14 Juillet au Havre, rue pavoisee." The original is an oil painting on canvas at the Albertina Museum in Vienna.
This work is not an original, and is therefore valued equally to other reproduction prints. The fair condition of the work may also have an effect on its value. Dufy reproductions appear frequently on the art market. Given the unrelated status to the artist himself, we estimate the Fair Market Value of this work between $0 and $200.
Thank you again for your appraisal submission.
Kind regards,
Charlotte B.
